Bernard has over 15 years of experience working with children and young people from all parts of society from the age of five through to 25.
Bernard trained and practised in London where he specialised in working with marginalised children and adolescents who were having difficulty at school and at home for a wide variety of reasons.
His interests over this time were the impact of early year’s abandonment on children in primary school, the impact of death and mourning, self-harming and eating disorders in adolescent girls and the challenges of working with violent children.
Bernard holds degrees from City University and
the University of London, and is a member and current President of CAFPAA (Couple and Family Psychotherapy Association of Australasia)
